Percussion Technician - Cymbals​

Kara was raised in Hagerstown, MD and went to South Hagerstown High School. Weikert joined the marching band and played the bass drum and snare drum.

Weikert joined Towson University in 2018 and joined The World Famous Towson University Marching Band on the cymbal line from 2019-2022. During her senior year, she joined Old Line Indoor Percussion as a cymbal player for their show, “Ripple Effect.” Weikert then went onto march at George Mason University Indoor Percussion in 2023 aging out on cymbals.

After her age out, Weikert joined the OLIP staff in 2024 teaching the cymbal line.

Kara lives in Hagerstown, MD and works as a Speech Language Pathologist in Washington County Public Schools.

Kara cannot wait to continue working with Old Line this year!
