Ian Wysham

Battery Caption Head

Ian Wysham is a performer, arranger, and educator from Baltimore, MD, who has been involved in the pageantry arts since 2010. Ian attended Towson University where he was a member of the World Famous Towson University Marching Band and the Towson University Pep Band, and studied under John Seligman, Frank Russo, and Dr. Michele Humphreys. In 2016, Ian was also a cast member in the World Class Indoor percussion group Cadets Winter Percussion.

 

Since 2013, Ian has instructed battery percussion at various institutions around the Baltimore-Washington metro region, and is currently Percussion Director at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, MD, and a battery technician at Towson University. Ian has been a member of the instructional staff at Old Line Independent Percussion since its inception in 2020.

 

In addition to his experience in the marching arts as a performer and instructor, Ian also maintains a private studio covering marching percussion and drumset. He is also on faculty at Stages Music and Arts in Cockeysville, MD.

 

Ian has been a musician in the Army National Guard since 2019 with the 229th Army band from Parkville, MD, and currently performs freelance with popular music groups in the Baltimore region.
