Rachel Seville

Color Guard Technician- Dance/Rifle

Rachel has been heavily involved in the arts ever since she was born. Her mother, being a music educator, started Rachel off in music at a very young age. She started off learning piano while also doing competitive gymnastics for 8 years. When she reached 4th grade, she learned the clarinet on top of piano and grew an interest in color guard where her sister was her first color guard instructor.

Rachel is a 2015 graduate of Williamsport High School out of Williamsport, MD where she was a part of their outdoor color guard, played every type of clarinet for wind ensemble, and multiple honor bands all 4 years. Williamsport did not have an indoor color guard program which lead Rachel to be a part of North Hagerstown High School Indoor Color Guard all 4 years of high school. Rachel then took her skills to the next level and marched DCA world corps, Cadets 2 in 2013, and Fusion Core 2017.

Rachel has worked with James Buchanan High School since 2015 where she started an indoor guard program from scratch and this past indoor season went undefeated and won a gold medal in gold division at KIDA. She has also recently joined the Chambersburg High School Color Guard staff this year.

Rachel brings with her a knowledge of weapon and flag skills but her specialty is dance and movement. Rachel’s favorite aspect of teaching is seeing the growth of performers and seeing the smile on their faces when they achieve a goal or new skill.

Rachel’s a full time X-Ray Tech and medical assistant at an orthopedic office in Frederick, MD. She currently resides in Hagerstown, MD with her husband, Michael Seville, who also teaches along side her as a percussion instructor at James Buchanan High School, and her 2 dogs, Oliver and Bo!
